2-Day Mikumi Safari Itinerary
Train Ride & Full-Day Safari
Mikumi National ParkDepart Dar es Salaam by High Speed Train (SGR) at 6:00 AM to Morogoro which takes 1:40mns. Upon arrival, our guide will picked up from the station and drive for 2 hours straight to Mikumi National Park. Check in and begin your first short game drive, spotting wildlife then break for hot lunch (Buffet). Enjoy lunch at the park’s restaurant with a beautiful view of grazing animals. After enjoying your lunch, you will continue with an intensive afternoon safari until sunset, when the park is most active. In the evening, you will head to Mikumi Cottages for dinner and an overnight.
Sunrise Safari & Return to Morogoro
Mikumi National Park / MorogoroYou will wake up for quick coffee or tea depending on choice then Start an early morning game drive, the best time to see predators and grazing animals. Return to the lodge for breakfast. After breakfast, enjoy a short game drive before exiting the park to drive back to morogoro to take train back to Dar Es Salaam at 4:25. By now, you may have seen lions, elephants, giraffes, hippos, zebras, antelopes, buffalos, and more. (Leopards are present but rare to spot!) Drive back to Morogoro in time to connect with your onward train to Dar es Salaam.
