Enjoy beautiful aerial views as you leave Zanzibar's turquoise coastline behind and fly toward the vast wilderness of Southern Tanzania.
Upon landing at the Nyerere airstrip, you will meet your professional safari guide and begin a full-day game drive through one of Tanzania's largest and most spectacular wildlife areas. Explore a variety of landscapes — from open savannah and acacia woodland to lakes, wetlands, and riverine forests. Keep your eyes open for elephants, lions, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, crocodiles, impalas, and warthogs. Nyerere is also one of Tanzania's important habitats for the endangered African wild dog, although sightings are never guaranteed.
